UNF in the Wind combines philosophy, science and the performing arts.

Through philosophical conversations and artistic processes, children will have the opportunity to relate to and create their own expressions based on the overall theme of 'Sustainability and Climate Change - 'and especially wind'.

Wind is the overall theme of the project; wind is both an abstract concept, but also a very concrete, kinesthetic entity that can be sensed on the skin, felt as resistance against the body and experienced as a hardcore and powerful energy resource with a wide variety of expressions. The abstract and factual is made concrete and sensuous in the FNUK project.

Together with artists Steen Rasmussen, Maja Ingerslev, Mette Elimar Jensen and Mathias Sæderup, children aged 3-10 explore the theme of 'wind' through a variety of artistic processes and philosophical conversations. Children can, for example, reflect on how to experience wind as movement and force, play with the quiet poetry of wind, shudder at the wind's gale force, marvel at nature's gift of wind and create wind drawing machines, wind musical instruments and other constructions that work by virtue of the wind.

Before the sessions with the children, the artists were inspired to work with sustainability and wind energy at the Energy Museum in Tange.

A series of artists' workshops were carried out with the children in their own everyday lives, and these were concluded in a joint event with artists' workshops at Snapsting for Children in week 26, where the children were able to make wind drawing machines, wind installations and wind musical instruments. Several of the works created during the artists' workshops in schools and kindergartens were also exhibited.
