The winner of this year's children's culture award goes to...

On Saturday, Viborg's children's culture consultant Anne-Marie Fledelius was honoured with this year's children's culture award during a concert by Sigurd Barret and the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra.

15 years ago, Viborg Municipality hired Anne-Marie Fledelius as a children's culture consultant, and children's culture has been her heart's desire ever since. The current example is that she leads Snapsting for Children. According to the nomination, she has a special ability to lead the crazy and quirky ideas through all obstacles.

The municipality's "materials bank", Halloween celebrations in Bjerringbro, Sunday at Borgvold and holiday activities for children also bear her mark.

"When "Mie" is pouting, it is not for her own sake, but always for the sake of the children and children's culture," the nomination reads.

This year's prize winner

This year's award winner is full of crazy and quirky ideas that are being pushed through regardless of opposition to the delight of the city's children - and their parents. When the recipient of the award makes a move, it is not for his or her own sake, but always for the sake of the children and children's culture," said Gudrun Bjerregaard, chair of the Kulturprinsen board, at the presentation of the honour and the DKK 10,000 from the Nordeafonden.
