Snapsting for Children
Last week of June 'Snapsting' is held in Viborg. A huge party for the whole city. In 2014, children got their very own 'Snapsting for Children', developed by Kulturprinsen, with lots of activities and offers for daycare centres, schools and families. Last year, more than 8,000 children and adults took part in the many different offers, ranging from creative workshops to concerts and a joint parade. This year, we're looking forward to another spectacular week of creativity, fun and learning - read more about Snapsting here.

Snapsting for Children takes place in week 25, 19-24 June 2017.

Creative workshops at Borgvold
Borgvold Park is buzzing all week with play, life and learning. Here, children from 0 to 14 years of age have the opportunity to immerse themselves and physically express themselves through the many workshops and events. Day care centres and schools can register free of charge for a wide range of creative workshops in areas such as music, storytelling, animation, visual arts, team building and much more. The activities are suitable for all audiences, from the youngest nursery and day-care children to kindergarten, primary and middle schools. There are also many activities that do not require prior registration - the so-called 'Walk-in-Workshops'.

What is Snapsting?
A few hundred years ago, Viborg was Denmark's annual centre for trade, knowledge exchange, cultural interaction and political debate. It was a money market where all trade in land and property in Jutland was concluded; a news exchange where politics was debated, knowledge was disseminated and rumours spread; and a place full of culture, entertainment and folk life. A tradition that Viborg has recreated on modern terms, where people meet, talk and create community, celebrate and discuss politics and culture. It is a place where you not only experience culture as a spectator, but also become a co-creator of it through your active participation.

Who is behind
Snapsting for Children is organised in collaboration with Kulturprinsen, Kulturskolen and Viborg Libraries and receives financial support from Viborg Municipality. A number of the municipality's other cultural and learning institutions are also contributing, including the Nature School, the Energy Museum, the Skovgaard Museum, Viborg Art Gallery, Hvolris Iron Age Village, VIA University, the Production School, the Animation School and Asmild Agricultural School.

Registration workshops
Programme and registration for 'Snapsting for Kids' will be published by May at www.snapsting.dk/boern.

Coverage of transport costs
Schools and institutions can get transport costs covered by Viborg Municipality's 'transport pool'.
