Children from the Central Denmark Region are invited to a workshop on the theme of Wishing Land, which will kick-start the process of singing and dancing for the Regional Children's Opening, which will take place on 20 January 2017 during the European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017.

At the workshop, the children will talk about their wishes and dreams for the future in interaction with the singer Alberte Winding and the composer Jan Rørdam, who will use the children's statements as a basis for creating a song that will be included in the Regional Children's Opening in different ways in the 19 municipalities. They will also meet the choreographer from Dansehallerne, who will create the Opening Dance/Dance of the Year for the Children's Opening Song.
